It's kind of hard to write this because what Ginger
has done for me & my dog is so big it's truly
hard to fit into words and just overwhelming to think
about. I guess it's pretty much like the proverbial "pebble
in the pond" or "ripple effect." One
in home visit with her led to so many positive changes.
Which,
partly is because that's what positive training does;
it snowballs and the more fun and positive interactions
you have the more you & your dog enjoy each other
and do even more and grow. But it's not just the
training method. Ginger is an extremely skilled trainer
who is exceptional not only with dogs but with PEOPLE.
She's the epitome of a positive trainer. It's not
only her skill/methodology of training dogs but her
attitude, beliefs and communications with the person
that make such an impact. She has great patience,
understanding and empathy. No other trainer I'd worked
with had such an impact on me. Her positive attitude
was truly catching.
She
helped me understand my dog and successfully worked
with us through separation anxiety, play biting,
impulse control and resource guarding. I can honestly
say that if it weren't for her my dog would most
likely have been surrendered to a shelter and probably
euthanized. Today, he still is a bit of maintenance
but is a great family pet. He has also taken Rally-O
and agility classes with success and does a ton of
neat tricks including playing basketball and retrieving
hotdogs.
I
simply can't express how appreciative I am….as
I'm sure my dog is too!
