Trish recently graduated from Animal Behavior Institute with her CACTP (Certified Advanced Canine Training Professional) and CCTBS
(Certified Canine Training & Behavior Specialist) certificates.
She began her training experience 10 years ago as a result of adopting her fearful and reactive dog, Madison. After working
with Ginger and Fortunate Fido on improving Madison’s behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and in an effort to
fully understand Madison’s behavior, she developed a deep passion for the science and practice behind canine behavior. This
led her to pursue a formal canine training and behavior education program with the goal of one day helping others to build
their own positive relationship with their canine friends. Longer-term, Trish’s goal is to continuing training as an integral
part of her “retirement plan”.
In addition to Trish’s current “day job” in the finance world, she volunteers for Berea Animal Rescue, where she participates
with their training team on helping those dogs that need a little extra care, developing good manners while using positive
reinforcement as her guiding principle. She specifically enjoys working with the diversity of the dogs that are seeking their
permanent homes and gets very excited and happy for them when they do!
Trish and her husband also have a second set of paws, Cooper, who, every once in a while, reminds them that “life is a continual
party”, at least if your name is Cooper.
